POLICY.

Zero tolerance, without exception

Down2Chill, operated by D2C HOLDINGS LLC, maintains a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This is not a policy we balance against other priorities. There is no warning, no strike system and no appeal on the merits for confirmed CSAE.

We built Down2Chill to get people together in real life. That makes safeguarding the people who use it — and especially anyone who might be targeted through it — a condition of the product existing at all. This policy applies everywhere Down2Chill operates, to every user, in every country.

Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Down2Chill account, and older where your country sets a higher age for consenting to online services. We ask for a date of birth at sign-up to enforce this.

We do not knowingly permit accounts belonging to children under 13. Where we identify one — through a report, a moderation review, or our own checks — we remove it and delete the associated data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has an account, email [email protected] and we will act on it.

Conduct that will end your account

The following are strictly forbidden on Down2Chill. Each results in immediate and permanent removal, and each is reported to the authorities where the law requires or good judgement demands it:

• Sharing, uploading, requesting, linking to or storing child sexual abuse material, in any form, real or computer-generated.
• Sexualising a minor in any content, conversation, profile, username or group name.
• Grooming — building a relationship with a minor, or with someone you believe to be a minor, in order to sexually exploit them.
• Sextortion — threatening to publish intimate imagery to coerce a minor into producing more, into payment, or into meeting.
• Trafficking, or advertising, arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Arranging or attempting to arrange an in-person meeting with a minor for a sexual purpose.
• Using Down2Chill’s availability, location or invite features to identify, approach or locate a minor for any of the above.

Attempting any of these is treated exactly the same as completing them.

Detection and prevention

• Automated image scanning. Every image uploaded to Down2Chill — profile photos, stories and images sent in chat — is automatically scanned using Google Firebase’s image moderation technology before it is made available to anyone else.
• Immediate blocking. Content identified as violating these standards is blocked and removed from the platform, and the account is flagged for human review.
• Human review. Automated systems are a filter, not a judge. Flagged material and every user report reaches a trained reviewer.
• Ongoing improvement. We review and update our detection tooling as the technology and the threat both change.

Detection is deliberately layered with reporting, because no automated system catches everything — particularly grooming and coercion, which look like ordinary conversation to a classifier. That is why the next section matters.

Reporting something to us

Our response and enforcement

When we receive a report, or our automated systems flag material, we act on this sequence:

• Remove. The content is taken down and put beyond reach of other users.
• Disable. The account is suspended immediately, and permanently banned once the report is confirmed. We also act against attempts to return under a new account.
• Preserve. We retain the material and associated account records securely, in the manner and for the period the law requires, so that investigators can use them.
• Report. Apparent child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and to other authorities where local law requires it.
• Support. Where a user of Down2Chill has been targeted, we point them to the resources below and cooperate with any investigation they choose to pursue.

Our moderation team is trained to handle these reports confidentially and in line with applicable law. Accounts removed for confirmed CSAE are not reinstated. If you believe your account was disabled in error, you may write to [email protected] and we will review the decision — but we will not restore an account while a report is open with law enforcement.

Cooperation with law enforcement

We respond promptly to lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection agencies investigating CSAE, including preservation requests, and we do not require a subpoena before preserving evidence.

We comply with the child safety requirements of the platforms we distribute through, including Google Play’s CSAE standards and the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, and with applicable law in the jurisdictions where Down2Chill is available. Our designated point of contact for CSAE matters is listed in section 09.

Support beyond Down2Chill

These organisations help children, young people and families directly. They are independent of us, and you do not need to have reported anything to Down2Chill first.
